Sam is a passionate change agent, an avid adventurer and a lover of the outdoors who brings a sense of fun and enjoyment to all the people she works with. She has an overwhelming sense of purpose to help people release their potential and be the best version of themself.
She started her journey as a psychologist in 2002 after working in a commercial banking environment for a number of years. She became intrigued with the dynamics of people, their differences and strengths, their communication styles and their leadership capabilties.
She therefore qualified as an Occupational Psychologist in the UK and worked extensively with senior leaders and organisations across the public and private sectors helping them assess and develop people and manage the people side of change.
Her passion for personality and behavioural assessment soon grew to a want to help and develop people as she saw people stuck in the wrong career, leaders struggling to lead, teams under performing due to communication problems and organisations frantically trying to address their people problems by layering on policy documents and models.
After a long period of time focusing solely on her career she took her bravest step to release her potential by moving to New Zealand on her own to follow her passions. Her learning continued in different areas where she became intrigued with the positive effects of kite surfing, nature, music and yoga on her own mind. She now brings such experiences to her own clients via her New Zealand mind experiences.
As well as being a registered psychologist Sam is a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and is qualified in the facilitation of many psychometrics such as MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), Wave, Hogan Development survey (HDS) and OPQ (Occupational Personality Questionnaire). She is also an IKO kite surfing instructor and yoga instructor and loves to combine all these elements in helping individuals, leaders and organisations understand their own minds particularly in stressful and challenging situations.
Her clients come from all walks of life, each with a story to tell. The organisations she has worked with have included:
Ballance Agri Nutrients, Veolia, B&Q, HSBC, BT, Fonterra, UniServices, New Zealand Refining Co, Vodafone, KPMG, RBS, Diageo, Orange, John Lewis, Arcadia, NHS, MET Police, Hampshire County Council and the Office for National Statistics.
She started 3Minds in 2015 to work with individuals, leaders and organisations, helping them achieve their greater potential by helping them understand their own minds and the minds of others.
